The Zurna

The picture illustrates zurna players in a carriage. The poem following the illustration focuses on the specific sonority of the instrument. The poem is dedicated to Vladimer Mikeladze,* who used to defend the zurna music. Thus, we could assume that the man in the background of the picture, with his hands spread, is Vladimer Mikeladze, declaring his love to the zurna music.

*Vladimer Mikeladze was a public and military figure at the beginning of the 20th century.
