Georgian Lesson (5/5)

The first issue of Slingshot is a fictional student’s diary featuring a series of satirical poems and caricatures depicting a typical day at school.

The fifth and final bell rings and it’s time for a lesson in the student’s native Georgian language and literature, as depicted here. But who needs all these languages, the poet asks, when one is enough? The students leave early and, like a voice in the wilderness, the teacher orates in perfect solitude.
