The first issue of Slingshot is a fictional student’s diary featuring a series of satirical poems and caricatures depicting a typical day at school.
The first caricature in the series illustrates the first lesson of the day: geometry. The poem tells how, equally bored by the lecture and by their textbooks, the students play card games in class. Why should they waste their youth listening to the teacher, when instead they could be enjoying themselves?!
